The 2010 Project Professionals Group (PPG) conference afforded sponsors and special guest speakers the opportunity to speak about the Port of Antwerp's infrastructure and promote the local economy by appealing to shippers from around the world. 115 freight movers, ship owners and related industry companies from around the globe converged in Antwerp for the three-day event. The event was officially opened by The Port Alderman – Antwerp City Council, Mr. Marc Van Peel.

Memorable moments included the welcoming reception at the Antwerp Town Hall and the dinner boat cruise on the River Scheldt sponsored by the Port of Antwerp; and the BBQ dinner at the Velge Estate sponsored by Polytra. There are lots of memories and everybody seemed to have a great time where old friendships were renewed, new business and personal relationships established, all of which will hold us in good stead for the long term future.
