With the fastest route to Europe, Antwerp port is the 2nd largest port in Europe and 5th largest in the world, handling 189 Million Tons of cargo in 2008. Significant growth in the volume of break-bulk cargo moving in and out of Europe is a testament to the growing prominence in World Trade of the EU and the Middle East.
