PPG India Safely Conclude Complex Height Delivery

PPG India, Express Global Logistics (EXG), were awarded a challenging delivery on behalf of their client Fabtech Project & Engineers. The project was challenged by critical height restrictions en route from Chakkan to Mumbai Port, a distance of 530 klms.

The route included transiting through Chakkan, Ahmednagar, Shirdi, Sinnar, Nashik, Kasara, Thane and finally Mumbai. Cargo involved 2 x HP Heaters, each L14.400mx W4.700  X H 5.060 / 41.400 tonnes which required transporters with the axle combination of 10 Hyd. Axles + 1 Prime Movers & 8 Hyd. Axles + 1 Prime Mover.

The challenging ground clearance of 6.2mtrs inside Mumbai Port Trust consisted of many temporary & permanent overhead obstruction. For each sector EXG had completed a detailed route survey to confirm the delivery of package within the required time frame.

During the survey EXG had found a new bridge had been constructed on the usual route and hence had to find the alternate route to deliver the cargo. Cargo was delivered without any damages and in record time. Critical operations included a ground clearance of 6.2m (20.34 feet) and rerouting due to newly constructed bridge at the Sinnar-Ghoti bypass road.
