The overdimensional crate was shipped from the Port of Antwerp to the Port of Rio de Janeiro as breakbulk cargo via a container ship. Time constraints meant the arrival at the port of Rio de Janeiro coincided with the Rio de Janeiro Carnival period and thanks to the high standard of assistance from the CTO team, the item was successfully delivered to the importers plant safely, on time and within budget.

KARL GROSS, Germany and ALLFORT, Japan have successfully concluded a project on behalf of KRONES, one of the leading companies on plastic bottle making machines in the world. The shipment comprised 17 x 40` HC & 3 x 40` FR of new machinery (including one machine over 4m wide & 4m high) from Hamburg to Kobe. The scope of works included pre-road surveys, road permits, Terminal operation (un-crating, loading on trailer) and delivery to final rural destination.

Vestas is partnering with the Port of Portland to move wind turbine tower sections through Terminal 6. The sections for approximately 50 towers will be used on a wind project in Eastern Oregon. The final sections are also moving through Terminal 6.

 

Antwerp, the project cargo hub for Europe, was the location of the latest PPG project forwarding education program at the Antwerp Expo Centre in conjunction with the inaugural Antwerp XL Breakbulk Exhibition. Participants came from USA, UK, Netherlands, France and Belgium.
